Creating links between people from all countries has always been part of Les Glénans Raison d’Être. In 2023, we started offering courses in English in cruising and catamaran in Concarneau. This year, we are expanding this to include all categories (cruising, catamaran, dinghies, windsurf) and a new destination (Marseillan).
Because teaching in English requires new skills for instructors, we have created a Stage P, dedicated to developing your English Sailing skills.
The goal of this course is to prepare sailing instructors to carry out a teaching course in English for an international group of trainees.
The next stage P will take place on May 1st to 5th 2024 on Penfret. It costs only 50€ or can be funded through your Pass Formation. It is open to all sailing instructors who are curious about teaching in English this year or the following ones.
In this Stage P, you will :
- get first hands-on experience in a 100% English speaking environment
- familiarize yourself with specially prepared teaching material
- practice setting up sessions in English with your peers
- create your own teaching material or adapt your own tools to instructing in English
- sensibilize yourself with the challenges of teaching a multicultural group of trainees
The course is held on Penfret on Glénans 5.7, catamarans and dinghies.
